Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large apple sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme optional
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Season the Chicken

  • Pat chicken dry. Sprinkle salt, pepper and cinnamon on both sides. Rub seasoning gently.

Heat the Pan

  • Add olive oil to a skillet. Heat over medium heat until hot but not smoking.

Cook the Chicken

  • Place chicken in the skillet. Cook 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through.

Add Garlic and Apples

  • Add minced garlic and sliced apples around the chicken. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Pour Maple Syrup and Broth

  • Mix maple syrup and chicken broth. Pour evenly over chicken and apples.

Simmer the Dish

  • Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and juicy.

Finish with Butter

  • Add butter to the pan. Stir lightly to create a rich, glossy sauce coating the chicken and apples.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from heat. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
